Q: What’s the difference between the “pulp cavity” and “dental pulp”?
A: It can be confusing when you’re looking at a picture of a tooth that has “pulp cavity” and “dental pulp” labeled. They look like they’re pointing to the same thing!
Bear in mind that a “cavity” is a space or chamber. Thus, the “pulp cavity” is the open space inside of a tooth. In a living tooth, this space is filled with tissue called “dental pulp.”
